Remote file size and last modifed date and time

Hi All

I do not do any full-fledged ftp. From my vb project, I just wanna read
the size of files (and last modified date/time) on the remote server
WITHOUT downloading it. can i do it with just INET control?? without
using any class or activeX controls..or what?? can anybody here gimme a
bit of sample code? a working example would be fine..
