While writing an application that needs to be able to run
under Windows 98, I've bumped into the infamous CommCtrl, video
card issue where running the application actually kills all of
the icon associations system wide.
When the application starts, I'm loading the system icons into
a TImageList so I can pluck them out and show them with their
associated files types in a list.
Works good on 2000/XP/2003..
I don't recall the minimum CommCtrl version or what, if anything,
can be done to get around this problem short of not loading the
icons..
Any help is appreciated.
