Hi

Ok, after a lot of V8 bashing I've finally done it. I've upgraded to v9!

Now I'm being baffled by some totally new features. I'll ask about the 1st
few here:

CommandHandlers - What are they? What do they do? How can I use them to the
benefit of my project?

Greeting - Sounds obvious, but I'm used to having to send my own custom
greeting and parsing it the hard way. Is this what I think it is? - Does the
v9 client parse this and read it correctly itself with no further work
needed from me?

IOHandler - Whats this? Whats the difference between this and the Intercept?
Do I have to use IOHandler or will TIdTCPServer work without?

Sorry for the numerous questions, but this is the first time I've upgraded
with the serious intention of keeping it. I've tried v10 before, didn't like
and dumped it.

V9 is actually exciting though. It has components I need (smtp and pop3
servers) which v8 didn't have.

Thanks in advance for your help

JD
