I have an application I wrote that received UDP packets from remote sites.
I have a new router, and some new internet security software. I disabled the
security software and could not find any router settings (NetGear) that
would affect my computer getting these UDP packets. I forwarded the port
(12007) as I have done with other routers and other applications that use
the port forwarding work.
I have a local application I can run to test that sends packets via the
internet and back to my computer.
How can I tell that is happening to these packets and why they are not being
received?
Thanks for any ideas. Knowing how to diagnose and identify the fault would
probably help me when my customers cannot connect to the internet or
client-server database.
