Firstly, I know this isn't the official Indy news server, but I've always
found borlands much more helpful!
Using Indy Version 8 (Yes I know, old and not really supported but I like
it!), I am building a server which identifies users by their AThread
(Looping through an array of records to find a matching TIdPeerThread and
then obtaining the user name associated with it). However recently something
sprung to my memory about the Indy Threadmanager pooling AThreads.
So, I was wondering if someone could explain in fairly easy to understand
terms, what the thread manager actually does and is it actually safe to
identify the unique user by their AThread?
