I am hitting the wall. I have brought in a consultant and a TCP specialist
and we are still not able to make our communications work the way we like.
I purchased the Indy In Depth book but the examples and instructions are not
adequate. I only want to do a few things.
I don't care what components I use or who makes them. I prefer to pay for
my components since I believe the vendor is obligated to insure that it
works properly as I am to my customers.
I also need to send inter PC communication in the simplest way possible
across the Network. I would to have an event fired when a message is
recieved so I can take action. I need this process to go both directions.
Is there good components out there that can do this? I can't seem to make
Indy work as a TCP client and server. I don't know how to discover when
data is in my port. A simple example, and I mean simple where I can type a
little message in a client and watch it pop up on a screen on another
computer woud be a start.
Can someone help. We are loosing a lot of time and money.
Thanks
