Ah ok, you didn't make it clear you were asking about the downfall part..
Well to answer your question, the installation for .NET is far from easy. I
was trying to install it in Delphi 2005 .NET as I wanted to use Indy for
.NET use. Couldn't get it to work. Despite numerous bits of advice all over
various parts of the web, it still didn't work. It worked for the Win32 side
of things (eventually) but it was far from easy to get it all working. Also
it really doesn't help that the only half decent download of V10 is the
development snapshot which isn't even guaranteed to work because it's edited
live. As I said before, at least having a fairly stable version zipped would
be of some use so that at least users can download a version they know will
work without having to re-download the dev snapshot in the hope that the
dodgy bit has been recoded since the previous download.

Ok, thanks for that. I may consider upgrading to v9 in the next few days
then.

Right, sorry confusion on my part. I thought you meant ReadLnTimedOut which
I'll also comment on below. I however aware that ReadLn does have a time out
so please don't think I'm loopy!

Yes, as stated above, I thought you were talking about ReadLnTimedOut. Yes I
realise ReadLn has it's own Time out.

Ok, thanks for that tip. I'll give that a bash in a mo in my editor and see
what I can do with it.

You know I thought I was just unlucky with that auto-complete thing. I
didn't dare mention it until now because quite frankly I didn't think you'd
take it seriously. Glad to see I'm not the only person that has problems
with it.

Thanks for your help
