I'm trying to implement a custom WHOIS server but is confused as to how to
go about doing this. Basically the RFC3912 does not explain how to implement
the protocol properly. For example, there's nothing about how to display
domain servers or domain ownership details, infact, there's nothing about
how to implement any queries at all. Am i right to assume that there are
different query types involved in this, if so, where are the implementation
guidelines laid out? Maybe i'm looking at the wrong RFC document?
Hope someone can shed some light on this issue
