I had a look at the code and can't find anything unusual but one thing,
the ReadTimeOut property value.
Just to be sure, did you try with a higher value than 5000? Keep in
mind that FTP uses 2 connections and has a bigger overhead as for
example HTTP or TCP/IP itself. In fact, using 60000 is not a bad idea
at all.
The other question you did not answer is if there is any active
firewall around. If it is so, it will surely mess with your FTP app
unless you give your apps rights to transfer. FTP protocol is *not*
firewall-friendly.
