This is a little of the topic but I thought I should still post it for those
who have communicated with me thus far on the forum.
Some of my questions may seem dumb, but a lot of the questions I ask I
probably know the answer or about 80% of it but I still ask to either
confirm myself or verify the validity of it. When I ask the question and see
the responses I get, I weigh them against my own knowledge and thinking
process. A lot of times I find that I program with assumptions (human nature
to assume and take for granted).
The reason why I am using these newsgroups is when I ask a question I
particular like to get the thoughts of other developers since we are only 2
developers in the company at the moment and I use to be in a bigger team. So
discussion and exchange of thoughts are limited. Also I have worked on
something different the last 4 years so this is basically my return to
Delphi thus doing a bit of a refreshing course.
Also went from Delphi 6 to Delphi 2005 and I have to say I have not been
very happy with 2005 thus far but that is another discussion.
Anyway I hope it make sense and thank you for your patients and replies.
Regards
Gerhard.
