Short URLs - what style is best?

If I rewrite long dynamic urls to short urls, what style lends itself best
to search engines?

For instance, if I want my site to rank high on the terms Guitar Lessons,
should I have urls of the form

mysite/guitarlessons........html
or
mysite/guitar-lessons......html
