Hi,

I'm looking for a technical co-founder in the LA area to join my
search startup in exchange for equity. You would be the lead coder, and
be responsible for programming and testing.

The site, Zeedex, is a contextual search engine. It's up and running.

You would be responsible for adding new features, described below. If
you're interested, please send me a message
(gigs-239335634@craigslist.org)

About the site:

Zeedex gives you suggestions to help you search.

How it works:
1. Do a search for a topic you want to learn about
2. Zeedex will pop up lists of terms related to your search.
3. If you find a term you're interested in, you can click on it to
add it to
your search box.

Like Wikipedia, anyone can create or edit a list, see history, etc.

Some of the Features to be worked on:

Main Task: build out Database by importing/ parsing Wikipedia data into
Zeedex
Add email alerts and "send this search to a friend" feature
Group pages organized around topics like law, medicine, etc.

Job Details:

I'm looking for someone in the LA area.

Compensation: equity

Platform: Frontend: Javascript
Backend: Java, Spring, Hibernate, MySQL

Who am I?

I work in the software industry. I am an MIT grad, and I also have an
MBA.
I'm very interested in search and web 2.0.

What I'm looking for:

You've tried Zeedex and you understand what it is about.
You're excited about web 2.0. You have a background in the technologies
I
listed.
If you're interested, please send me some background on you, and a link
to
something cool that you've built at gigs-239335634@craigslist.org.
I look forward to hearing from you!

~Russell
