What "Web directories" are worth submitting to?
* DMOZ = you will never get a reply and they most likely will ignore
your site.
* Yahoo! = worst Web site ever; extremely hard-to-read CAPTCHAs and it
COSTS MONEY to get listed. Total and utter crap, IMO.
Those are the largest one I know of, and both suck. What options are we
left with?
I have tried using these "automatic Web directory submission" Web
services, but they don't seem to work at all. (I don't really
understand why anyone would waste so much time coding together a
service like that for other assholes to spam their crappy sites.)
So my questions are:
1) Where is it worth the time to manually enter your Web site(s) for
free?
2) Is there a free program or Web service that will auto-submit
properly? Does it matter?
We all want backlinks. Backlinks are hard to get. Let's share our ideas
here.
PS: Alexa is just weird.
