Is long copy making a comeback in advertising? e.g., "retro-versions"
of the 1960s and 1970s use of copy (text) in content.

The March 6, 2006 issue of Creative Review; article 'Writing Returns'
discusses the growing trend towards greater use of text in advertising
content.

The goals in advertising are to interrupt and engage general,
specialized, semi-specalized, semi-general audiences. With advertising
saturated with fancy graphics effects, it makes sense to incorporate
text into graphics; in order to reach a growing number of viewers who
are increasingly relating to informational content.
