Domain and Website transfer again

Hi,

I am currently transferring my domain and website to another host.
I went for the option to transfer the domain and website, but without
changing DNS settings.
But if DNS settings are not changed too, it may happen as they say here:

"Please note:Full functionality cannot be guaranteed if you choose DNS
settings other than the original 1&1 settings, such as e-mail and web space.
Domains can be (re)set to 1&1 default settings by clicking Reset. Please
refer to the help text for further information by clicking on the icon in
the right-hand corner of this section.

If I choose to change DNS settings and point them to new host (1&1 in this
case), something like they say here will happen:

"Our domain will be updated with the following DNS settings. Please press
"Save" to submit them.

      Name server 1&1 name server
IP Address (A-Record) 1&1 IP Address
Mail Server (MX-Record) 1&1 mail server
"

My question, really important SEO wise, is if changing these DNS setting and
pointing them to 1&1 will affect PR (2 in this case so far, but would be
stupid to lose even this), and my website rankings in any way?

Please advise,

Cheers,

Paul
