Complete revamp or new domain?

Hi,

I am facing a dilemma here.

I have an idea which I can implement either by revamp of an existing website
or creating a new website with a new domain.

Here is the data which illustrates the problem.

1. The topic of the exisiting website remains unchanged, the same keywords
are targeted.

2. What is to be changed is complete design and copy.

3. I am considering deleting pages and creating new ones, but this I suppose
would affect present ranking (bad, still better than nothing).

Now, the website is 9 months old now, which is a great advantage over a new
one.

What should I go for then?

What happens if I delete all pages except home page, and create new pages?
Should  I leave all the pages as they are, only change their content and add
new ones?

I need to add, that the new one will be aiming to be 10 times bigger or more
than existing one.

Please advise :)

Cheers,

Paul
