Hello Group - I'm new to the webmaster world. I have a background in
print advertising and some coding skills. My goal is to generate
revenue via Google Adsense or some other ad business option. I'm
confused about "keywords". I've read moderately on the subject, but
like everything else, there's no good starting place. I have a few
specific questions. Any response is appreciated.
1) Are keywords included in the copy of a page? (I know they're not
"meta tag keywords" since search engines tend to ignore those today).
2) Are they really the holy grail?
3) Should I purchase one of the hundreds of keyword databases from the
web, and if so which ones are good?
4) Is there somewhere I can read up on the subject so I'll have a clue
what I'm dealing with?
